Severe storms swept through the Plains, causing significant damage to multiple towns.

In Barnsdall, Oklahoma, a large tornado caused severe structural damage, resulting in at least one fatality and numerous injuries.

A nursing home was among the buildings hit, prompting the relocation of residents.

Bartlesville, northeast of Barnsdall, also experienced major structural damage, though no fatalities were reported and injuries were minor.

Further east, near Sullivan, Missouri, a radar-confirmed tornado caused damage to a local bar and high school, The Weather Channel reported.

The National Weather Service classified the tornado as EF1 after surveying the area.
