Pennsylvania has investigated more than a dozen UFO incidents in the past decade, records show

Pennsylvania residents have reported various unusual phenomena to authorities, including mysterious lights on country roads, saucer-shaped crafts over suburban areas, and flaming orbs in the woods.

Following a mention by the head of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) that they track UFO sightings, state records obtained by the Capital-Star reveal over a dozen investigations into such events in the past decade.

During a legislative hearing, PEMA Director Randy Padfield mentioned their monitoring of UFO sightings.

This prompted further inquiry, with Padfield explaining that while most sightings have mundane explanations, some remain unidentified, North Penn Now has reported.

Prompted by this revelation, the Capital-Star filed a right-to-know request, leading to the release of 40 pages of records detailing UFO reports handled by PEMA.
