Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani faced a suspension without pay from his WABC radio show after going on a rant about the “stolen” 2020 election.
The decision to remove Giuliani from the air came from billionaire radio station owner John Catsimatidis, who cited Giuliani’s violation of company policy against questioning the validity of election results.
Giuliani claimed ignorance of the policy and expressed frustration at losing his job, which earned him $15,000 a month.
Despite this setback, Giuliani still has other media outlets generating income, the New York Post has reported.
His financial troubles extend beyond losing his radio show, as he faces mounting legal bills from various legal battles, including criminal cases in Arizona and Georgia related to efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
Giuliani filed for bankruptcy in December, claiming debts of up to $500 million, exacerbated by a $148 million civil court ruling against him.
Despite his legal background, Giuliani’s law license has been suspended, further limiting his options for income.
