IDF troops carry out operations in Rafah

Israeli military units conducted operations in various parts of the Gaza Strip.

Troops from the 162nd Division and Givati Brigade discovered underground tunnel shafts in the Eastern part of Rafah.

Additionally, the 401st Brigade engaged and neutralized terrorist squads near the Rafah crossing, utilizing both close-quarter combat and airstrikes.

Israeli Air Force aircraft targeted several areas in Rafah that had launched rockets and mortar shells into Israeli territory, including the Kerem Shalom crossing.

Sirens sounded in two Gaza Border Communities, but no injuries or damage were reported. Later, sirens sounded in Kerem Shalom twice, and two launches from Rafah were intercepted, the Jerusalem Post reported.

Meanwhile, troops from the Nahal Brigade and 2nd Brigade operated in Zeitoun, destroying terror infrastructure and eliminating terrorists.

Fighter jets also struck various Hamas targets throughout Gaza, including buildings used for anti-tank fire and tunnel shafts.

Overall, Israeli airstrikes targeted approximately 40 terror targets in the Gaza Strip, including military buildings, terror squads, and observing positions.
