The bodies of two Kansas women, Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelley, 39, who disappeared in the Oklahoma Panhandle in March, were discovered in a chest freezer buried in a cow pasture, according to court records.
They vanished on March 30, and their remains were found on April 14 on a property in Texas County, Oklahoma, about ten miles from where they were last seen.
The discovery was made after a day of excavation by authorities, who also found unrelated personal items in the hole.
Five suspects have been arrested and are being held without bond in Texas County Jail, NBC News reported.
They are Tifany Adams, 54; her boyfriend, Tad Bert Cullum, 43; Cole Earl Twombly, 50; his wife, Cora Twombly, 44; and Paul Grice, 31.
They face charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, and kidnapping. All suspects, except Cullum, are represented by public defenders.
