Carnival cruise ship rescues 25 people stranded off the coast of Mexico

A Carnival Cruise Line ship, the Carnival Radiance, rescued 25 people stranded in a small boat off the coast of Mexico after responding to a distress call from the U.S. Coast Guard.

The ship, en route from Long Beach, California, to Ensenada, Mexico, altered its course upon receiving the distress call and swiftly rescued all individuals on board the small vessel, including three children.

The rescued group received food, water, and medical assistance onboard the cruise ship and was handed over to the Coast Guard with Carnival’s coordination.

This incident did not disrupt the Carnival Radiance’s schedule, USA Today reported.

This rescue follows similar actions by other cruise ships, including one from Carnival and another from Celebrity Cruises, in recent months, highlighting the maritime industry’s role in aiding those in distress at sea.
