Dems in full-blown ‘freakout’ over Biden

A pervasive fear has gripped the Democratic Party over President Joe Biden’s reelection prospects, even among previously confident officeholders and strategists.

As the 2024 election approaches, anxiety has intensified, with private concerns diverging sharply from public statements.

Democrats are worried about Biden’s persistent poor polling and the high stakes of the election, as Trump leads in most battleground states and has outpaced Biden in fundraising.

This unease has grown as Trump campaigns in liberal strongholds and targets Hispanic and Black voters, claiming he can win in these areas, Politico reported.

Despite lagging in campaign funds, Trump raised $25 million more than Biden in April, including a record $50.5 million from a Florida event.

A list shared among Democratic donors outlines nearly two dozen reasons for Biden’s potential defeat, including issues like immigration, high inflation, Biden’s age, Vice President Kamala Harris’s unpopularity, and the impact of third-party candidates like Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
