Islamic Jihad releases video of Amazon worker being held hostage in Gaza

On Tuesday, a terrorist group in Gaza released a video of Sasha Troufanov, an Israeli Amazon employee kidnapped during Hamas’s attacks on October 7.

Troufanov, a 28-year-old computer engineer at Amazon’s Annapurna Labs in Tel Aviv, spoke in the video while wearing a black, white, and red polo.

Addressing the Israeli public and protesters, he promised to reveal the truth about his situation and that of other prisoners in Gaza soon, urging patience.

The Hostages & Missing Families Forum highlighted the need for the Israeli government to negotiate for the hostages’ return.

Troufanov was among approximately 250 people abducted during the attacks, which resulted in nearly 1,200 Israeli deaths, the New York Post has reported.

Amazon employees in Israel have shown solidarity with Troufanov but are frustrated by the company’s lack of public response.

Tragically, Troufanov’s father, Vitali, a Russian immigrant to Israel, was killed.
