Israel army ‘stretched’ as fighting rages on multiple fronts

As the Gaza Strip war approaches its ninth month, Israel’s military faces significant strain from engaging in multiple conflicts, analysts told AFP.

According to Rami Dajani of the International Crisis Group, Israel’s forces are stretched thin, operating in Gaza, the north, and the West Bank.

Despite being one of the world’s best-funded militaries, Israel relies heavily on reservists, France 24 reported.

The Gaza War Unit Tracker reports that nearly all of Israel’s 15,000 active combat soldiers are involved in fighting, with 10,000 in Gaza, 2,500 on the northern border, and 2,500 in the West Bank.

Additionally, around 26,000 reservists are mobilized, primarily in the West Bank. The Israeli army did not comment on these figures.
