President Joe Biden called former President Donald Trump a “convicted felon” during a fundraising event in Connecticut, potentially indicating a more aggressive campaign stance.

Biden highlighted the historical significance of a convicted former president seeking re-election and criticized Trump’s attacks on the American justice system.

Trump was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records related to hush money payments to Stormy Daniels.

Biden condemned claims of the trial being rigged, labeling them as reckless and irresponsible, Mediaite has reported.

Trump has claimed the trial was a politically motivated “witch hunt,” a notion dismissed by his own former lawyer, Joe Tacopina.
