Ukrainian warplane blasts Putin’s command in direct hit on Russia

Reports claim that Ukraine has conducted its first ‘direct hit’ on a target within Russia, allegedly striking a command node in Belgorod with an air-delivered munition.

Conflicting reports suggest the target may have been an ammunition depot. Footage shows smoke rising from the village of Rakitnoye after explosions were heard.

Although officials confirm damage, no injuries are reported. Belgorod, heavily affected by the war, has faced multiple attacks from Ukraine.

The incident follows the lifting of embargoes by the US, Germany, and the UK, allowing Ukraine to use Western weapons, Metro has reported.

The Russian defense ministry reports shooting down Ukrainian drones in the region but it’s unclear if they’re related to the recent attacks.

This strike occurred shortly after drones damaged infrastructure in Belgorod. Despite numerous attacks, Ukraine’s government has been cautious in its statements.
