China almost ready for war with West

World leaders gathered in Switzerland to discuss a potential peace deal amidst Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, but notable absentees included Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.

The US is shifting its military focus to the Indo-Pacific to counter China’s growing assertiveness, with Admiral Paparo stating his intention to turn the Taiwan Strait into a “hellscape” in the event of an invasion.

China is rapidly building its naval capabilities, and its deadline for invading Taiwan in 2027 coincides with a period of global instability.

Europe must step up its involvement in the conflict in Ukraine and take on more responsibility for its own security, as the US cannot sustain its current level of commitment indefinitely, The Telegraph has reported.

If not, the US risks being divided between propping up European countries and countering China’s aggression in the Indo-Pacific, putting it at risk of losing a great power war.
