Donald Trump criticized President Biden’s new executive order during a campaign rally in Racine, Wis., accusing him of prioritizing “sham marriages” and college degrees for non-citizens over the welfare of military veterans.
Trump denounced Biden’s plan to expedite work permits for non-citizen college graduates and grant lawful permanent residency to some undocumented immigrants married to Americans.
He labeled the executive action as “lawless” and claimed it would lead to mass amnesty, allowing illegal aliens to bypass proper immigration channels.
Trump emphasized the plight of veterans he alleged were neglected in Democrat-led cities, contrasting their situation with migrants purportedly living in luxury hotels, the New York Post has reported.
Biden’s order is expected to benefit hundreds of thousands of spouses and children of non-citizens, simplifying their path to lawful permanent resident status without leaving the US.
