Texas GOP Rep. Ronny Jackson, a former White House physician, called for President Joe Biden to undergo drug tests before and after the upcoming presidential debate, alleging Biden may use performance-enhancing drugs.
Jackson’s demand echoed previous remarks by former President Donald Trump during a rally in Philadelphia.
The White House dismissed the accusations, pointing to previous statements questioning Republican concerns about Biden’s capabilities, NBC News has reported.
These claims come amid broader criticisms of Biden’s age and mental fitness as he pursues reelection at 81, while Trump, 78, has faced similar scrutiny over cognitive abilities.
