Quadruple shark attack off Texas

A video captured the aftermath of a shark attack on South Padre Island, Texas, where four people were injured in a series of attacks on July Fourth.

The clip shows a woman lying on the sand with a leg wound as rescuers rush to help her, with blood visible in the water. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but her current condition is unknown.

The attacks occurred around 11am near a popular beach bar. Texas Parks and Wildlife confirmed that a man was also severely bitten and taken to the hospital.

Patrols by boat, land, and helicopter were deployed to protect beachgoers. Local authorities indicated that two people were bitten and two others had non-serious encounters with the shark.

The victims were transported to Valley Regional Medical Center, with one requiring further treatment elsewhere.

Shark encounters are rare in Texas, and additional details are not yet available, the U.S. Sun has reported.

On the same day, footage revealed a shark swimming close to swimmers at Miami Beach, Florida, highlighting the potential dangers even in popular beach destinations.
