‘Witch’ is killed after she tried to sacrifice toddler in house known for worshipping Satan

A Mexican woman, Maria Guadalupe R.M., believed to be a witch with cartel ties, was killed after attempting to kidnap her nephew’s 18-month-old son in Ciudad Juarez.

Guadalupe, 33, had expressed belief that the child was a reincarnation of a dead family member and intended to sacrifice him to Santa Muerte, the patron saint of cartels.

She broke into her nephew Carlos Gabriel C.R.’s home on Sunday and tried to take the child by force. Carlos fought back with a baseball bat and killed her.

Two accomplices fled when neighbors alerted the police. Guadalupe was known for practicing satanic rituals and had connections with the Los Mexicles gang, associated with the Sinaloa cartel.

Mexican authorities confirmed her involvement in drug dealing and rituals for the gang, the Daily Mail has reported.

Santa Muerte, a figure worshiped by cartel members, is often depicted as a cloaked skeleton holding a globe and sickle.
