Defiant Joe Biden dares ‘elites’ to challenge him at Democratic national convention

On Monday, President Biden called into MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” to address concerns about his presidential bid and express frustration with Democratic Party elites questioning his ability to win in November following a poor debate performance against Donald Trump.

He challenged his critics to run against him, saying, “If any of these guys don’t think I should run, run against me. Go ahead. Announce for president — challenge me at the convention.”

Biden also sent a letter to Congressional Democrats urging them to end speculation over his candidacy, as some lawmakers have called for his withdrawal due to concerns about his age and fitness, Semafor has reported.

When asked on “Morning Joe” if he has been tested for age-related issues affecting his debate performance, Biden responded, “I’ve been testing myself.”
