An American citizen injured by Hezbollah missile fire in northern Israel on Sunday is in worsening condition, according to the Galilee Medical Center.
The 31-year-old man sustained shrapnel injuries to his upper body and underwent surgery Sunday evening.
Two other individuals, a soldier and a civilian, were also hospitalized for injuries from the missile fire.
Hezbollah launched dozens of projectiles and anti-tank missiles toward northern Israel, causing light injuries to the soldier and shrapnel wounds to the two civilians.
The American civilian was initially in serious but stable condition, requiring anesthesia and ventilation, CNN has reported.
The Israeli military responded with strikes on Hezbollah military structures, while Hezbollah claimed responsibility for firing rockets at several Israeli military sites.
CNN has contacted the US State Department for more information on the injured American.
