Donald Trump’s campaign has started soliciting donations following an assassination attempt on him, while Joe Biden’s campaign has suspended all TV ads in response to the attack.
Just a day after the shooting, which resulted in one death, Trump’s campaign sent fundraising texts linked to the GOP-affiliated WinRed platform, featuring images of Trump in a defiant pose.
Meanwhile, Biden’s team has paused all communications and is quickly removing TV ads, the Independent has reported.
The shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, is a 20-year-old from the Pittsburgh area, who used an AR-15 purchased legally by his father, though investigators are still determining if it was taken with permission.
