RFK Jr. confirms video of Trump call is legitimate, apologizes

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. confirmed the legitimacy of a video showing a phone call with former President Donald Trump, in which Trump encouraged him to endorse his campaign.

Kennedy apologized for not stopping the recording during the conversation, expressing his embarrassment over its release.

In the call, Trump agreed with Kennedy’s views on vaccines and discussed his recent assassination attempt.

Despite their discussion, Kennedy denies intending to act as a spoiler in the election and believes President Biden has low chances against Trump.

He has previously stated that if Biden were to withdraw, he could win against Trump in a head-to-head race, CBS News has reported.

Following a meeting with Trump at the Republican National Convention, Kennedy also addressed rumors about a potential unity ticket.
