President Joe Biden tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday while in Las Vegas, experiencing mild symptoms, according to White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

He will return to Delaware to self-isolate but will continue performing his duties.

Biden, who is vaccinated and boosted, was reported to have a runny nose and a non-productive cough, leading to the positive test.

His physician confirmed that he has begun treatment with Paxlovid and is in good condition, with normal vital signs, CNBC has reported.

The White House will provide regular updates on his status as he isolates at home.
