220,000 Fentanyl Pills Discovered in Colorado After High-Speed Chase

Police in western Colorado seized 48 pounds (about 220,000 pills) of fentanyl following a high-speed chase on Friday.

The incident began around 6:20 a.m. near Fruita when a Mesa County Sheriff’s deputy attempted a traffic stop, and the driver, later identified as 21-year-old Levyn Angulo-Ayala, fled.

The chase was initially halted for safety reasons but resumed when a Colorado State Patrol trooper deployed stop sticks on Interstate 70.

Despite flattened tires, the vehicle continued until stopping near West Pabor Avenue, where Angulo-Ayala fled on foot but soon surrendered, Breitbart News has reported.

He faces charges including vehicular eluding and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and is now in the Mesa County Detention Facility.
