Trump says he’ll hold a rally in town where he was shot

Former President Donald Trump announced plans for another rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he was shot and injured during a recent campaign event.

Trump did not specify a date but urged followers to stay tuned for details.

The shooting resulted in one fatality and two critical injuries.

The deceased, Corey Comperatore, a former fire chief, reportedly died while protecting his family during the incident.

In response to the attack, the U.S. House has unanimously voted to form a task force to investigate the Secret Service’s handling of the situation, reflecting bipartisan concern, KSL.com has reported.

A Wall Street Journal poll shows Trump with a narrow 2-point lead over Vice President Kamala Harris, compared to a 6-point lead over President Joe Biden earlier this month, with Biden now out of the race.

The poll indicates Trump leads Harris 49% to 47%, with a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points.
