JD Vance reportedly expressed strong negative views about the police and Donald Trump in messages to a Yale Law School classmate, Sofia Nelson, between 2014 and 2017.
Nelson provided up to 90 messages and emails to the New York Times, revealing Vance’s criticism of Trump as a “morally reprehensible human being” and his disapproval of police conduct following the 2014 Ferguson shooting.
Vance allegedly expressed hatred for the police and concerns about Trump’s impact on Muslim citizens, describing Trump as a demagogue who exploits irrational beliefs, the U.S. Sun has reported.
Nelson released these communications to inform voters about Vance’s past views.
