A new Wall Street Journal poll reveals a tightly contested presidential race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, with Trump leading Harris 49% to 47% in a two-person matchup, within the margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points.
Earlier this month, Trump had a six-point lead over President Biden before exiting the race and endorsing Harris.
In a multicandidate scenario including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Harris garners 45% and Trump 44%, with Kennedy at 4% and 5% undecided, the Wall Street Journal has reported.
Harris has notably increased her support among nonwhite voters and energized the Democratic base, surpassing Biden’s previous standing among Black, Latino, and young voters in a survey following Biden’s poor debate performance on June 27.
