Portland Police reported making 50 traffic stops, seven arrests, towing four vehicles, and issuing 11 citations on the first night of their street racing/takeover mission.

Multiple agencies, including Portland, Multnomah County, Clackamas County, Port of Portland, Oregon State Police, and Vancouver Police Department, are proactively targeting this dangerous activity.

The operation aims to combat the “West Coast Invitational” street takeover event, KATU ABC 2 has reported.

While no street or intersection takeovers were noted on Friday night or Saturday morning, there was some street racing and sideshow activity. The mission continued into its second night.
