New Orleans police chief strikes 2 pedestrians with her vehicle, injuring 1

New Orleans Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick struck two pedestrians with her vehicle on Saturday night, resulting in injuries to one of them.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. at the intersection of Decatur and Iberville streets, according to a police report cited by Fox 8.

A man and a woman were hit in the incident. The woman was transported to a hospital and is in stable condition, while the man did not report any injuries.

Following the incident, Kirkpatrick underwent breathalyzer and urinalysis tests.

The breathalyzer showed no signs of alcohol consumption, returning a result of 0.00, and the results of the urinalysis are expected within a few days.

Social media photos indicate that Kirkpatrick was not in uniform at the time of the collision, Fox News has reported.

The police department has stated that the incident remains under investigation.
