Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sen. J.D. Vance has agreed to debate Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz, following Walz’s confirmation as the Democratic nominee alongside Vice President Kamala Harris.

Vance had previously stated he would only debate Walz once his nomination was official, expressing concerns about potential changes in the Democratic ticket.

Vance emphasized the importance of debating and making his case to the American people, the Washington Examiner has reported.

Walz, in turn, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming debate, though no date or host network has been set yet.
