The trial of Robert Telles, a former Nevada county official accused of murdering Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Jeff German, began Monday with jury selection.
Telles, 47, allegedly killed the journalist in September 2022 after blaming him for ruining his career and marriage through investigative reporting.
German, 69, was found stabbed to death outside his home. Telles was arrested days later after DNA evidence linked him to the crime, ABC News has reported.
He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder and faces life in prison if convicted. The case has drawn significant attention due to the targeted killing of a journalist in the U.S.
