Two 21-year-old men, Xavier J. Gordon and Clyde D. White Jr., were arrested by local and state police after a shooting on Virginia State University’s campus early Wednesday.
The incident occurred near Daniel Gymnasium around midnight, leaving four people—two men and two women—with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspects, who are not enrolled at VSU, were apprehended at the scene.
Gordon faces charges for brandishing a firearm and carrying a concealed weapon without a permit, while White is charged with brandishing a firearm.
The victims were also not enrolled for the fall 2024 semester, the USA Today has reported.
Both suspects remain in jail with court dates set for October 16. Virginia State Police are assisting in the ongoing investigation.
