Suspect sentenced to life in prison, convicted of killing child and dumping body in ravine

A judge has sentenced Daniel Garcia to life in prison and a $5,000 fine for the 2021 beating death of 5-year-old Domenic Aguilar.

Garcia was convicted of brutally beating the child over three weeks, culminating in a fatal blow, after which he and the child’s mother, Nickolle Aguilar, disposed of the body in a Colorado ravine.

Nickolle Aguilar was sentenced to 15 years in prison for her role in the crime, having pled guilty to Injury of a Child and Serious Bodily Injury by Omission, News 4 San Antonio has reported.

Bexar County Criminal District Attorney Joe Gonzales condemned the tragic case, stating that Domenic deserved much better and that Garcia’s life sentence is justified.
