Police raid Andrew Tate’s home probing alleged sex crimes against minors

Romanian police conducted new raids at the home of internet influencer Andrew Tate, who is awaiting trial on charges of human trafficking, rape, and forming a criminal gang.

The raids, carried out by Romania’s anti-organized crime agency DIICOT, targeted four properties in Bucharest and Ilfov county, investigating additional allegations including trafficking of minors, influencing statements, and money laundering.

Tate’s spokesperson acknowledged the raids but did not address allegations involving minors.

Tate and his brother, both former kickboxers, were arrested in 2022 along with two others and have denied the charges, CBS News has reported.

They were initially detained and later placed under house arrest, with restrictions on their movement within Romania.

The trial has yet to begin, and a separate case in the UK has led to an extradition order pending the conclusion of Romanian legal proceedings.
