Trump says it’s ‘pretty sad’ for Democrats to focus on him at convention

Former President Trump criticized Democrats for focusing on him during their convention in Chicago, calling it “pretty sad” and accusing them of being “out of control.”

In an interview with Hugh Hewitt, Trump argued that Democrats should have prioritized issues like crime and the economy instead of mentioning him nearly 200 times.

He also suggested that rhetoric against him might have contributed to an assassination attempt in July, The Hill has reported.

While Democrats, including former President Obama, criticized Trump during the convention, they also praised the Biden administration’s handling of the economy and the border.
