Senator Cory Booker defended Vice President Kamala Harris amid criticism for not featuring a Palestinian speaker at the Democratic National Convention, stating that Harris feels “urgently” about achieving a cease-fire and securing the release of hostages in the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Booker emphasized Harris’s deep concern over the conflict and her commitment to ending the suffering of the Palestinian people.
He noted that the convention repeatedly addressed the urgency of resolving the conflict, including through speeches by Harris and other prominent Democrats, The Hill has reported.
Despite the criticism, Booker expressed confidence in the Biden administration’s efforts to end the war and prevent further escalation.
