China’s Ministry of Commerce expressed strong opposition on Sunday to the U.S. decision to add multiple Chinese entities to its export control list due to their alleged support for Russia.
The U.S. added 105 firms, including 42 Chinese companies, to the trade restriction list for activities ranging from supplying electronics to the Russian military to producing drones used in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
China’s ministry criticized the move, stating it disrupts international trade and economic exchanges, and vowed to take necessary measures to protect the rights of its companies, CNBC has reported.
