Colorado man left behind during office retreat survives night on mountain

A Colorado man survived a night alone and injured on Mount Shavano after being left behind by his co-workers during an office hiking retreat.

The hiker became disoriented after summiting and, despite sending location updates, was hit by a storm, losing cell signal and his way.

A search and rescue operation was launched after he was reported overdue, with teams battling harsh conditions.

The hiker eventually regained cell service and called 911, leading to his rescue and hospitalization, The Guardian has reported.

The incident sparked criticism online, with some questioning the actions of his co-workers during the retreat.
