D.C. Grand Jury Returns Superseding Indictment Against Trump

A Washington, D.C., grand jury issued a superseding indictment against former President Donald Trump on four charges related to alleged interference in the 2020 presidential election.

The charges include conspiracy to defraud the U.S., conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of an official proceeding, and conspiracy against rights.

The indictment updates the original charges brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith, removing some elements in response to a Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity, Breitbart News has reported.

Additionally, former Department of Justice official Jeffrey Clark was removed as an unindicted co-conspirator following the court’s guidance.
