A dog breeder, Paul Peavey, was found dead in Colorado, and up to 10 of his Doberman puppies are missing, prompting authorities to investigate his death as a homicide.
Peavey, 57, was last heard from on August 19 and reported missing on August 21. His body was discovered three days later by a search party.
The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation are leading the investigation, with an autopsy planned to determine the cause of death.
Authorities are also seeking public assistance in locating the missing puppies, which are microchipped and may have been sold recently, ABC News has reported.
Tips regarding the puppies or Peavey’s business, Elite European Dobermans, could be crucial in solving the case.
