Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will remain on the ballots in Michigan and Wisconsin despite ending his independent presidential campaign and endorsing Donald Trump.
Michigan officials confirmed that Kennedy, who was nominated by the Natural Law Party, cannot withdraw from the ballot.
Similarly, Wisconsin’s election commission voted against his request to remove his name, citing state law.
However, a court ruling in Nevada will keep Kennedy off the ballot in that state, NBC News has reported.
Kennedy had announced plans to remove his name from ballots in battleground states to avoid being a spoiler, while still allowing his name to appear in solidly “red” or “blue” states.
