Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson says she would support an ‘enforceable code’ of ethics for the Supreme Court

In her first sit-down interview since joining the Supreme Court, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson expressed support for an enforceable ethics code for justices, emphasizing the importance of impartiality and transparency.

She highlighted the need for a binding code, similar to those for other judges, and stated she sees no reason why the Supreme Court should be exempt.

Jackson declined to comment on specific controversies involving other justices but affirmed her general support for ethics enforcement.

She also disclosed receiving gifts and a significant advance for her memoir, Fox News has reported.

Additionally, Jackson voiced concern about a recent Supreme Court decision granting substantial immunity to former presidents, arguing it could lead to unequal treatment in the justice system.
