British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has reiterated his call for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas following the discovery of six hostages’ bodies in a Gaza tunnel.

Starmer expressed shock at the hostages’ deaths and urged that Hamas release all hostages immediately and that all sides agree to a ceasefire to end the suffering.

Despite initially supporting Israel’s tough measures against Hamas, Starmer has shifted his stance to align with his left-wing base, advocating for an urgent ceasefire, Breitbart News has reported.

This change comes after criticism and resignations from Muslim politicians and members of his party over his previous support for Israel’s actions in Gaza.
