Federal agents conducted raids on NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban and other top officials in Mayor Eric Adams’ inner circle, seizing electronic devices in a sweeping corruption probe.
The raids targeted Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Phil Banks, Schools Chancellor David Banks, and First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, along with others linked to Adams.
The investigation, led by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, is examining influence peddling and possible unregistered lobbying, the New York Post has reported.
While no one has been accused of a crime, the probe adds to growing scrutiny around Adams’ administration and campaign activities.
