Kansas City super fan ‘ChiefsAholic’ sentenced to more than 17 years in prison

Kansas City Chiefs super fan Xaviar Michael Babudar, known as “ChiefsAholic,” was sentenced to 17½ years in prison for a series of bank robberies across multiple states.

Babudar, 30, pleaded guilty to charges of money laundering, transporting stolen property, and bank robbery. He was involved in 11 robberies or attempted robberies in seven states, stealing nearly $850,000.

In addition to prison time, Babudar must pay over $500,000 in restitution and forfeit property tied to his crimes, including a signed Patrick Mahomes painting, NBC News has reported.

Babudar’s crime spree funded his travel to Chiefs games, where he cultivated a large fan base online.
