Animal sacrifices are on the rise in Queens, with chickens, pigs, and other animals being tortured, mutilated, or killed in rituals near Jamaica Bay.
In recent weeks, at least nine injured or dead animals have been found in Spring Creek Park and the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, including live pigs with severed ears, a baby rat tied up with chicken bones, and a decapitated chicken.
Rescuers suspect a sect of Hindu devotees and other religious groups are behind the sacrifices, the New York Post has reported, the New York Post has reported.
