A manhunt is underway for Joseph A. Couch, 32, who is considered “armed and dangerous” in connection with a mass shooting on Interstate 75 in Kentucky that left five people seriously injured.

Deputies are searching for Couch in a wooded area near the shooting scene.

Nine vehicles were shot at, and the victims, who include one person shot in the face and another in the chest, are all in stable condition.

The shooting, described as “sniper-like” and random, was not linked to road rage, NBC News has reported.

Authorities found Couch’s vehicle and an AR-15 nearby, along with magazines and a gun case, and are continuing their search for him.
