A Russian drone violated Romanian airspace during nighttime attacks on Ukraine, prompting Romania to deploy F-16s and issue alerts to residents.

Drone fragments were found near Plauru, and Romania condemned the attacks as violations of international law. NATO also condemned the airspace violation, highlighting escalating tensions.

In Latvia, a Russian drone entered from Belarus, crashed in eastern Latvia, and is under investigation, Euro News has reported.

Latvia has stepped up air defense on its eastern border and informed NATO of the incident, underscoring rising concerns along NATO’s Eastern flank.
