Israel Offers Hamas Leader Safe Exit From Gaza in Bid to End War

An Israeli official, Gal Hirsch, has suggested offering Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar safe passage out of Gaza if all remaining 101 hostages are released.

Hirsch stated that this offer, along with the demilitarization and de-radicalization of Gaza, could help end the conflict.

Despite the proposal, a diplomat involved in ceasefire talks indicated that Sinwar does not wish to leave Gaza, believing he is safer there, CNN has reported.

Sinwar is accused of orchestrating the October 7 attack on Israel, which resulted in 1,200 deaths and over 250 hostages taken.
