Justin Wayne Halstenberg, 34, from Norco, has been charged with igniting the massive Line Fire in San Bernardino County on September 5.

Prosecutors say Halstenberg also attempted to start two other fires that day. He faces nine felony charges, including aggravated arson and arson causing great bodily injury, and is held without bail.

The Line Fire has burned 37,207 acres and is 18% contained. The investigation linked Halstenberg to all three fires through license plate readers and public tips, ABC 7 has reported.

While no deaths have been reported, the fires have destroyed homes, forced evacuations, and injured several people.
