Wildfires near Los Angeles slowed on Thursday due to cooler temperatures but still posed a threat to nearby suburbs.

The three active fires have burned over 110,000 acres, with the Bridge Fire, California’s largest, scorching 51,000 acres and destroying more than 40 homes in the San Gabriel Mountains.

A cooling trend is expected to aid firefighting efforts. Meanwhile, a delivery driver was charged with arson for allegedly starting the Line Fire, which has affected 37,000 acres and resulted in evacuations and injuries.

Additionally, the Airport Fire has burned 23,000 acres, injuring at least ten people.

Authorities are struggling to secure firefighting resources amid a record-setting fire season exacerbated by climate change, NBC News has reported.

Experts warn that fires are becoming larger and more severe due to climate conditions in the region.
