Alleged Donald Trump Assassin Previously Known to FBI

Former President Donald Trump’s alleged would-be assassin, 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh, had previously been on the FBI’s radar, according to Special Agent Jeffrey B. Veltri.

Routh was the subject of a 2019 tip, though no verification was found at the time. He has a history of felony charges, including possession of a weapon of mass destruction in 2002.

The recent assassination attempt occurred at Trump’s West Palm Beach golf course, where Routh allegedly hid for 12 hours before being confronted by Secret Service agents.

He fled but was later apprehended, Breitbart News has reported.

The FBI and Florida authorities are conducting investigations, with Routh invoking his right to an attorney. Routh has ties to the Ukraine War and a history of Democratic donations.
